I know that you may have been hurt in your life; there may have been times when you feel that God was not with you, that he was getting back at you, that he didn't love you. Contrary to popular belief, God is not 'vengeful'. He is not sitting there just waiting for the moment when we mess up in life so he can 'smite' us. God knows our actions, even before we do them. He knows that we are full of faults. He understands that we are human beings who face incredible obstacles throughout life and that we are inherently weak in our abilities to handle them appropriately at times.

You may think there is no way that God could love you. You may have done things in your life that others could not possibly forgive you for. You may feel ashamed or embarrased to even attempt to connect with God, but I can assure you He is there waiting. If you listen, he is there....knocking on the door to your heart. He loves you, and he will always love you. That is why he has given us this gift. Not just for the 'good' people in the world, but for everyone. All you have to do is accept it and set yourself free from the burden of your guilt and self convictions.
